Protest erupts in Dhubri over alleged murder

Staff Reporter, Dhubri, June 20: In a dramatic turn of events, a huge protest erupted in Falimari Part 2 village, Dhubri district, as villagers demanded justice for Jahangir Hussain, who they claim was murdered by his employer, Sunil Gogoi, in Dhakuakhana. The protestors gathered in large numbers, voicing their anger and seeking accountability for what they allege to be a grave injustice. The villagers have accused Sunil Gogoi of killing Jahangir Hussain and allege that Gogoi's family cremated Hussain's body to hide the evidence of the crime. According to the villagers, Gogoi is currently absconding, and his family is falsely claiming that he is dead to mislead authorities. They believe that the cremation of Hussain's body by Gogoi's family was a calculated move to destroy evidence and evade justice. The protest has been further fueled by the emotional plea of Jahangir Hussain's wife, who has joined the villagers in demanding justice. "I want justice for my husband," she said tearfully. "We need his body back so that we can perform Janaza and give him the proper funeral rites he deserves. This is the least we can do to honor his memory." As the protest continued, the villagers called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the allegations. They urged the police to locate Sunil Gogoi and hold him accountable for his actions. The villagers also demanded that the authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the cremation of Hussain's body and bring any accomplices to justice. Local authorities have been alerted to the situation, and there is significant pressure on them to act swiftly. The police have assured the protestors that they are taking the matter seriously and will conduct a detailed inquiry.
