Nagaon, July 13: As part of flood preparedness, a two-day long training programme on 'search and rescue' for IWT officials, private boat owners, sailors, drivers and lessee was organized by District Disaster Management Authority, Nagaon in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority at the Drill Shed of Nagaon police reserve from Thursday onwards here for Dhing ghat. Over 30 participants from the concerned locations participated in the training programme. Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Chief Executive Officer, DDMA Debahuti Bora in the presence of district project officer, DDMA Nagaon, senior station officer, F&ES Nagaon, field officer, disaster management, Dhing revenue circle, Aapda Mitra and other official of F&ES Nagaon. It is pertinent to mention here that DDMA Nagaon is going to organize another two-day long training programme for Kaliabor Ghat on 15th and 16th July next at the same Drill Shed of Nagaon police reserve, an official release stated here.
