Margherita, July 20: Margherita police, acting on a tip off, launched an operation at Margherita railway station and apprehended one drugs peddler who were travelling through intercity express from Guwahati to Ledo on Thursday morning.In the operation, the police managed to nab one notorious drug mafia while the other accomplice escaped with drugs. The police have launched a manhunt for the other drug mafia but have not been able to nab them so far.The police managed to seize three empty plastic cans, an empty syringe and some cash used to smuggle drugs from the arrested youth.The arrested youth has identified himself as Tinsukia but the police detained the arrested youth and took him to margherita police station for questioning.
