Staff Reporter, Hojai, June 28: Ripples of jubilation ran across Hojai Girls' College, Hojai, in the evening of June, 24 with the news that the College is accredited with Grade B by NAAC. Hojai Girls' College, Hojai, a premier institute of higher education for women, established in 1991, by a visionary stewardship of Late Dr. Ardhendhu Kumar Dey, erstwhile Cabinet Minister of Govt. of Assam with cooperation from all sections of people of Hojai to fulfill a pious purpose of igniting women education, was visited on June 13 & 14, by the NAAC Peer Team that comprises Prof. Sanchari Roy Mukherjee (Coordinator of the Team), Vice Chancellor, South Dinajpur University, West Bengal, Srikala M. Nayar, Prof. Sri Shankaracharya Sanskrit University and Alka Gupta, Principal, St. Soldiers' Education College to assess the College. This assessment ranged over both the Academic and Physical Resources of the College covering Qualitative and Quantitative dimensions through a wide and detailed deliberations (along with inspections) by NAAC Peer Team with the Principal of the College, the Coordinator, IQAC, the Governing Body, Teaching and Non Teaching Staffs, the Students, the Guardians, and it's Alumni Association. On the basis of this assessment and the SSR (Self Study Report) submitted by the College, the NAAC accredited the College with Grade B which is a matter of great pride for the whole College fraternity-- it's Administration, teachers and non teaching staffs, students and for the people Hojai at large. Hojai Girls' College is blessed with such a luminary because of untiring efforts and earnestness of the Principal of the College and unflinching Hadiur Rahman, Coordinator of IQAC, thus is opined by a conscientious section along with cooperation and generous help from all concerned.
