Tinsukia, November 22: Acting on a tip off on tuesday early morning Pratap Gogoi officer in charge of Margherita police station and his team apprehended notorious drugs peddler Paban Debnath aka Borobhai from his house situated at no.1 lazum near radhamadhab mandir, Margherita under Tinsukia District. Margherita police seized drugs (112.68 grams) packed in 9 soap boxes from the apprehended youth where the drugs estimated market value of around Rs 2.50 lakh and a cash amount was also found from his possession. The apprehended drugs peddler Paban Debnath is the son of Chandravati Devi senior most BJP leader of 124 no. Margherita Constituency and notorious, most wanted opium peddler Panchkuri Debnath. The apprehended drugs peddler Paban Debnath mother and senior most BJP leader Chandravati Devi was running opium and other narcotics substances business from his home since many decades which local people of that area were fade up as regularly youths from various areas come to have opium and create turmoil which the apprehended of drugs peddler Paban Debnath has brought relief to the people of this area. Pratap Gogoi officer in charge of Margherita police station said that the apprehended drugs peddler was involved in drugs trafficking for a long time where we brought him to Margherita police station custody for verification after that he shall be produced to SDJM Court Margherita. Till filling of this report Margherita police launched an manhunt operation to apprehend other drugs peddler who were in contact with apprehended drugs peddler Paban Debnath.
