BJP wins the 3 Margherita (ST) constituency in DAC poll

Staff Reporter, Tinsukia, November 10: Jogen Deori from Bharatiya Janata Party won the election to the General Council for the Deori Autonomous Council from 3 Margherita ( ST) constituency with 644 No.s of votes. A total of 1292 No.s votes were cast on 8th November in five polling stations. There were two rounds of counting the ballot paper and the vote count tally for other candidates were Bimal Deori, Independent candidate - 456 No.s, Heremba Deori, Independent candidate-116 No.s and Khogeswar Deori, INC -66 No.s. 10 No.s votes were rejected in the process. Elected candidate Jogen Deori will be sworn as one of the members of the General Council for the Deori Autonomous Council in the state.
