53rd Annual Session of Orang Bodo Sahitya Sabha held

Staff Reporter, Udalguri, November 17: The 53rd annual conference of Orang Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha was held at Thelemara Primary School with a day-long programme. A discussion on the present condition of Bodo language and Bodo medium was also organised at that session. Nabin Malla Boro the noted Bodo writer has requested Bodo people to cultivate a habit of reading Bodo literature and take steps to admire their own language. Baidyanath Upadhyaya addressing the people urged to read Bodo literature and newspapers for the development of Bodo language. The discussion session was inaugurated by Abindra Mochahari, the former Vice President of Udalguri district Bodo Sahitya Sabha. The session was moderated by Mantu Basumatari the former Vice President of Udalguri district Bodo Sahitya Sabha. During the session the Bodo people have given a floral tribute to the martyrs of Bodo language movement. A delegate session was also held and the session was chaired by Bijoy Shankar Basuamatari, the president of Orang primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha. Nilut Swargiyari the BTR EM has also taken part in that session.
