Union minister Rijiju takes parts various programmes in Nagaon

Bureau Report, Nagaon, October 31: With a two day long programme, Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju visited Nagaon today. During his trip to the district, the Minister also visited the site of Nagaon Medical College Hospital at Nagaon Mohkhuli, on the outskirts of the small town today and reviewed the ongoing construction work of the college building. While speaking to some local media persons here, the Minister claimed that Assam recorded drastic changes in the medical sector during the tenure of the BJP led government. He said that earlier it took over 20-30 years to set up a medical college hospital in the state. But during the rule of the BJP led alliance government, it is viable only within five years, the Minister accorded further. Referring to the motto as well as the ideals of the saffron led alliance government, the minister also claimed that the BJP government went ahead with the mission as well as the vision of all round development. But it apparently falls in some constituencies which are represented by the opposition parties. So to lessen such differences or difficulties, the ruling BJP is trying to ensure victory of BJP candidates from those constituencies in upcoming elections so far, he added. Referring to the results of the upcoming LS polls in the state, the union minister also said that the saffron would witness a record as people would go with work and development. It is worth mentioning that during his day-long trip, the minister also held a slew of meetings at Nagaon circuit house and participated in the programme of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The minister also visited the residence of athlete Hima Das at Dhing. The Minister will participate in an interactive programme with the first time voters or youths at Gandhi Panchayat Bhavan at Raha tomorrow, sources added.
