Guwahati, October 22: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, launched ‘Rozgar Mela’ at different locations over the country today on October 22, to fill up the vacancies at various departments of the central government including Railways. The Prime Minister addressed the newly inducted appointees across the numerous locations virtually and congratulated them for their new assignments. As a part of this ‘Rozgar Mela’, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal handed over the appointment letters to the newly selected youths at Railway Rang Bhavan Cultural Hall, Guwahati. Around 200 new appointees from various central government departments including Railways, CBDT, BSF, CISF, CBIC, CRPF, Central bank of India, Postal etc. under Ministry of Finance, Defence, Communication were handed over the appointment letters in today’s programme. Anshul Gupta, General Manager of N. F. Railway along with senior officials of various government departments was present. Speaking on the occasion, Sarbananda Sonowal appreciated the initiative of the Prime Minister to generate employment for the youth of the country. He further stated that under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi India is scaling a new height with Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The newly inducted beneficiaries expressed their gladness on receiving the appointment letters on such a grand occasion. They extended their heartiest gratitude to the government for making the selection process fair and transparent and providing them the opportunity to serve the people of the nation through their designated duties. Several Government initiatives have created an ecosystem for entrepreneurship and self-employment. India’s focus on infrastructure and connectivity, have a multiplier effect on the country. Besides, various flagship programmes of the Government such as Digital India, Smart City Mission, AMRUT, Housing for All, Infrastructure Development and Industrial Corridors have also significantly contributed towards generating employment opportunities and attracting Investments in various sectors.
