Nowgong College (autonomous) organised special programme on NEP 2020

Bureau Report, Nagaon, October 15: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Nowgong College (autonomous) which is proposed to be upgraded to the status of a state university, organized a special programme on application of New Education Policy 2020 at the college premises today. Dr Sarat Borkatoki, principal of the college delivered the welcome address while Dr Bhuban Chandra Chutia, coordinator of the IQAC anchored the inaugural session of the programme. Dr Rupesh Kumar, chief resource person and member of Higher Education Council, Government of Karnataka as well as administrative expert of NEP 2020 in the state of Karnataka, was present in the programme as chief resource person. In his speech, Dr Rupesh Kumar expected that the application of New Education Policy 2020 would be more effective in Assam than Karnataka. He said that due to the new policy, students fraternity will get marksheet in online only. Hence, they should not carry the paper testimonials along with them for any purposes in the days to come as it had to be done earlier by them, he informed. Earlier Dr Rupesh Kumar interacted with the heads of all departments of the college and took stocks in preparation of application of the new education policy 2020 too, a press note added.
