Nagaon, October 22: The English version of Madhavadeva's Namghosha, translated by Dr Sanjib Kumar Borkakoti has been displayed in the famous Frankfurt book fair. This book is published by the reputed publishers Motilal Banarasidass Publishing House, which is internationally renowned and established wayback in 1903. Dr Borkakoti made the English translation in prose. He also prepared the original text of Namghosa, which had been added in Roman script, very carefully after comparing several versions of the scripture. It may be mentioned that he has already authored more than sixty books, out of which more than forty books are on the life and contributions of Srimanta Sankaradeva. He has been conferred Sankari Sahitya Sanskriti award by Jorhat Sahitya Sabha for his effort to globalize the legacy of Srimanta Sankaradeva. Dr Borkakoti has been trying to promote Borgeet alongwith Bihu as world heritage in the intangible cultural heritage category as an expert member of International Committee of Intangible Cultural Heritage, sources added.
