Deori Autonomous Council elections: Campaigning in full swing

Staff Reporter, Tinsukia, October 28:The Deori Autonomous Council, formed in the interest of the progress and development of the Indigenous Deori tribe of Assam. Deori Autonomous Council Elections will be held on November 8. The elections will be held in Deori autonomous council constituencies in a total of 22 constituencies.Four candidates have contested for No.3 Margherita Deori Autonomous Council. BJP's alliance candidate and youth leader Jogen Deori and opposition Congress candidate Khageshwar Deori are likely to be the main contenders. Congress candidate Khageshwar Deori, however, is far behind in comparison to BJP's alliance candidate Jogen Deori campaigning. Jogen Deori has campaigned at people's homes in various Deori villages with a large supporter. The BJPs alliance candidate for No-3 margherita Deori autonomous council, Jogen Deori, told reporters that his victory was certain.
