Biswanath Chariali, October 11: A delegation of ANSS (Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha) headed by its president Durga Khatiora enjoined by working president Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma and general secretary Madan Thapa met the Director of Higher Education (DHE) on Monday at his chamber Kahilipara, stated a press release. A detailed discussion about the utilization of the interest gathered from the corpus fund given to the literary organization by the state government was carried out. The delegation placed a detailed plan regarding utilization of the interest of the fund before the director. Dharma Kanta Mili, director of higher education, approved the detailed project submitted by the delegation. As per the decision taken out by the advisory body earlier wherein the deputy commissioner of Kamrup district (R) is the chairperson about how to utilize the interest out of the corpus fund. The advisory body had decided to publish journals, books on research, organize seminars, symposium etc. and various literary and educational activities which ANSS has to undertake. All the decisions taken by the advisory body earlier were included in the project which was submitted to the director today, said Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma, working president of the literary body. Today, the delegation submitted the proposal adopted by the advisory body earlier which was accepted by the DHE.
