Indian army organizes friendly volleyball match

Staff Reporter, Kakopather, September 23: Rupai Battalion under the aegis of Spear Corps organized a Friendly Volleyball Match with the Volleyball Team of Moran Students Union, at Kakopathar Tinsukia on yesterday. The event came forth with an aim to promote physical fitness and bonhomie with armed forces. The Volleyball Match was played at Kakopathar,Tinsukia. Both the teams displayed their skills and played the entire match with immense dedication. The event provided an opportunity to play in a professional and disciplined manner thus getting to know more about their Army. Local Youth who played and those who witnessed were enthralled and inspired by the level of sportsmanship with which the Army team played the game. This part of the district being remote, youth here have more or less deprived of higher education.Such meaningful and cause oriented initiatives connect them with the outside communities and widen their scope of interaction. The event was marked by the presence of heads of local bodies, local residents from all age groups and media persons. This outreach programme was appreciated by the locals and they acknowledged the constant efforts of the Indian Army to remain in the forefront towards the youth of our country and offered them continued guidance.
