Indian army felicitated the parents of martyr Ratneshwar Hazarika

Staff Reporter, Doom Dooma, September 30: Rupai Battalion under the aegis of Spear Corps in coordination with the NCC cadets of Doomdooma college felicitated the parents of late Sep Ratneshwar Hazarika as a part of the “ SHAHIDO KO SAT SAT NAMAN “ initiative. Sep Ratneshwar Hazarika a resident of Bor Dirak village of Tinsukia district, he was part of 119 Territorial Army (Assam) Bn. The martyr was killed in action on active service during Op Rakshak in Tripura in 1997. He is succeeded by his father, who attended the felicitation ceremony.The ceremony was attended by NCC cadets, college students, faculty, Students Union leaders. This outreach programme aimed at remembering the martyrdom of the heroes of this region that will keep inspiring the generations to come and will motivate them to join Indian Armed Forces.The initiative was lauded by the college faculty, parents of the students and Student Bodies as these initiatives help channelise the energy of youth in right direction and further cement the patriotism in them.
