Hindi fortnight starts at JNV Dhubri

Staff Reporter, Dhubri, September 14: Hindi is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. It is a simple, intuitive, scientific and effective language. On September 14, 1949, the Indian Constituent Assembly gave the status of 'Official Language' to Hindi. 'Hindi fortnight' is organized every year in the month of September in various central government offices with the aim of promoting Hindi in official work. Like many years, 'Hindi Day' was celebrated at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Dhubri this year too. In this program, the monthly newsletter of the school 'Navodaya Times' was also released by the principal in-charge of school. Convener of the program Dr. Jeetendra Pratap said that the Hindi fortnight is proposed to be organized between September 14 and September 29, as per the guidelines received from the Department of Rajbhasha of Central Home Ministry. All the teachers and students, including the principal in-charge of the school, were present in the inaugural ceremony. Addressing the gathering, school teacher Dr. Jeetendra Pratap said that "Hindi is the language of the people. Today, it is increasing its dominance not only in India but all over the world. During this 15-day Hindi fortnight, the department of Hindi plans to organize various competitions like poetry composition, poetry recitation, essay composition, song singing, calligraphy, speech etc." He further said that in all these competitions, all the students are expected to participate actively and show their love for Hindi. The prize distribution ceremony will take place on September 29 next.
