Cesarean Section starts in Sarupathar CHC

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, September 23: C-Section deliveries have started from today at Sarupathar CHC. The ceremonial opening of the service to the public was done by MLA, Sarupathar LAC, Biswajit Phukan in presence of the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat, Dr. Arun Chandra Mahanta, Superintendent, Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital, Dr. Uttam Prasad Dutta, Circle Officer, Hemanga Nobis, SDM&HO, Sarupathar, Dr. P. K. Gonju, SDM&HO (HQ) Golaghat, Dr. Hiren Saikia, SDM&HO (HQ), Sarupathar Sub-division, Dr. Ajit Gogoi, DPM, NHM, Golaghat, Anushka Bora, representatives from Numaligarh Refinery Limited, Block programme unit officials and others.The medical team today successfully carried out two C-Section deliveries. One of the delivery was assisted by the Joint Director of Health Services NHM programme , Dr. Arun Chandra Mahanta and the Superintendent, SKKCH Dr. Uttam Prasad Dutta.Gynecologists Dr. Shivani Vaidya and Dr. Kafiluddin Ahmed carried out both the deliveries along with the other team members. The opening of the C-Section service at Sarupathar CHC has received support from Numaligarh Refinery Limited under their Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
