Guwahati, September 21: A mega blood donation camp was organized at Airports Authority of India(AAI) Regional HQ, North East Region, Guwahati on September 21. The blood donation camp was organised in association with the State Blood Transfusion Council and Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati Assam. The camp was inaugurated by Sanmukh Jugani, Regional Executive Director AAI, North East Region and Daya Jugani, President Kalyanmayee, NER in presence of General Managers and Heads of the department and officials from Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Adani Airports Ltd. and our stakeholders. Prior to blood donation, primary health check-up of all the members who registered for the camp was done by a team of the Doctors and para medical staff from the medical college. A total 54 units of blood was donated by the volunteering members today with great enthusiasm and support from AAI’s different departments
including Air Traffic Controllers, Airport Fire services, AAI Cargo, Communication Navigation & Surveillance, Finance, Human Resource, Official Language, Engineering, Security, IT and recognised Employees’ Union(AAEU), Members from Kalyanmayee, the women welfare wing of AAI, also actively participated in the camp and encouraged female employee to donate blood for a good cause. This Blood Donation camp was conducted in smooth coordination by AAI’s Human Resource Department led by Gian Batra, General Manager, AAI and with great support from the Doctors, para medical staff of the State Blood Transfusion Council and Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati. General Manager (HR) thanked all the blood donors, volunteers and medical staff for their great support.
