Prabhat Chandra Srutikar Memorial Award presented to Bhasita Kakoti at Nagaon

Bureau Report, Nagaon, August 22: Prabhat Chandra Srutikar Memorial Award 2021-22 was ceremonially presented to Bhasita Kakoti for her academic excellence in Education major in degree course under Gauhati University here at a function held at Nowgong College (autonomous) today. The programme was organized by Prabhat Chandra Srutikar Memorial Trust in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college and the Department of Education, Nowgong College. Dr Sarat Borkatoki, principal of the college chaired the programme while professor Dr Bhuban Chandra Chutiya anchored the entire programme. Professor and former head, Department of Education, Gauhati University, Neelima Bhagwati initiated the award in fond memory of her father - Prabhat Chandra Srutikar, an eminent educationist and a perfect administrator, to a student every year who will secure the highest marks in Education major in degree final examination under Gauhati University since 2009 onwards. Professor Neelima Bhagwati, the chairman of the trust, welcomed all on the occasion and also elaborated in detail about the initiatives for the award. All the professors as well as other students from the Department of Education, Nowgong College were present in the award presentation ceremony today.
