Newborn die in doctor's negligence in Margherita

Bikash Baruah, Tinsukia, August 3:The importance of negligence has been alleged against nurses and doctors at Margherita civil hospital in Tinsukia district. Sewali Kalwar, a resident of Khatangpani under Pengeri police station, was reportedly admitted to Margherita Civil Hospital on July 27 for maternity reasons.The maternity was finally sent to Dibrugarh due to deteriorating health.But the infant died yesterday and various local organizations in Margherita hospital today took a heated turn. The family members have alleged that the nurse should send the maternity to Dibrugarh without a doctor. The local organization has demanded a high-rise inquiry into the incident.
