NCC felicitates families and next of kins of martyrs felicitated at Nagaon

Staff Reporter, Nagaon, August 26 : 8th Assam Battalion, NCC, Group Headquarters (Tezpur) under the aegis of NCC Directorate, North East Region organized a special felicitation function to honour the supreme sacrifices of the fallen heroes while defending the nation here at the office premise of the battalion today. During the programme, the families as well as next kins of 6 martyrs from in and around Nagaon were felicitated by the NCC battalion with a plaque of gratitude. Next kins of martyrs, civil dignitaries, officers as well as other personnel and cadets of the NCC battalion graced the occasion and witnessed the proud moment of the felicitation. Lt Colonel Sukhadev Singh, SM expressed his deep respect as well as gratitude towards the sacrifices of the martyrs made for the nation and also exhorted the NCC cadets to take motivation from those martyrs for the greater interest of the nation so far. Dr Joi Kr Singha, incharge principal of Nagaon ADP college, NCC officers Saiful Islam of Nagaon Govt Boys' HS School, Dr Ghanashyam Taid of Dr BKB College, Dr. Jalin Prakash Chetia of Nagaon ADP college was among those who graced the occasion too, a press note added.
