Biswanath Chariali, August 9: A total of three freedom fighters and 24 widows of freedom fighters were felicitated by the Biswanath district administration today as a part of the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. As a part of the celebration of the upcoming 76th Independence day, eleven officials from Biswanath district administration visited the houses of the freedom fighters and felicitated them with a citation, chelenge, gamosa and a memento. The three freedom fighters including Hari Prasad Mishra (Samar Dalani, Nagsankar), Anuram Barua (Gohpur, Majikichi) and Gangaram Barua (Roumari, Behali) were accorded warm felicitation besides the widows of 24 freedom fighters.
