Charge sheet filed in Batadroba PS arson case

Bureau Report, Nagaon, August 13: In connection with the sensational Batadroba PS arson case, the Special Investigative Team (SIT) constituted by Nagaon police filed its 79 pages long charge sheet in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Nagaon here today. While addressing a press conference at the office of Superintendent of Police, Nagaon this evening here, SP Leena Doley said the district police administration will appeal to conduct the trial of the sensational Batadroba PS arson case in a fast track court so that the justice can be carried out as early as possible. SP Doley accorded it too that during investigation, SIT identified a total of 25 persons who were involved in the incident and among those 25 accused persons, police arrested 12 persons including two juveniles while one accused was killed in a unfortunate road mishap just after his arrest. Besides, other 13 accused persons including the prime accused of the incident - Jyotsnara Begum were absconding till the time of filing this report, She added. She however claimed that there might be hands of Jihadi or some Islamic fundamentalist organizations behind the sensational Batadroba PS arson case.
