Tinsukia, July 25: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrated across the country to mark the completion of 75 years of independence. A painting competition was held today in collaboration with Philobari Chitram Kala Kendra and Shankardev Shishu Niketan in the initiative of 14th Assam Regiment of The Indian Army based at The painting competition was inaugurated by Major Ankit Kumar of Philobari camp of Assam Regiment No.14.Painting competitions are held in three disciplines A, B and C. first, second and third ranked contestants in each section are rewarded with prizes. On the other hand 15 other contestants are also awarded with incentive awards.The judges of the painting competition are Samujal Saikia, a graduate of Guwahati Charu Karu Kala College, Kakoli Kalita, a student of Cotton University and Parineeta Saikia, a student studying at Nagaon Women's College. Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Philobari Chief Acharya Manmi Mahanta, Managing Committee Secretary Mrinaljyoti Saikia and many other Acharya-Acharyas and parents were present as guests in the painting competition.
