Awareness Vahan on Covid Vaccination inaugurated in Lakhimpur

Staff Reporter, North Lakhimpur, July 25: Joint Director of Health Services, Lakhimpur (i/c) Dr. Jagadish Goswami, inaugurated the Awareness Vahan to promote Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav across the Lakhimpur district at the Office of of the Joint Director of Health Services, North Lakhimpur on Monday. 75 days ‘COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava’ commenced providing free Precaution Dose to all adult (18 years and above) eligible population at Government COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs). Being implemented in a ‘Mission Mode’ this special COVID vaccination drive is part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. The special drive is aimed at increasing uptake of the Precaution Dose of COVID Vaccine among the eligible adult population. It may be mentioned here, that before this precaution dose was available for free for 60 years people, health workers, and front-line workers. It may be mentioned here that till 25th July, 8,39,853 People have received the 1st dose, 8,29,041 have received the 2nd dose while 50,787 have received the precautionary dose of the Covid vaccine. It may be mentioned that, during Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav, more than 27 thousand people received the precaution dose in the district in the last 10 days. Dr. Jagadish GoswamiI urged the people to come forward and defeat COVID-19 by making the "Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav" a grand success.
