4 killed, one hurt as car falls in gorge in Kaliabor

HARESWAR BORAH, Nagaon, June 28: 4 occupants coming in a speeding car Hyundai Aura from Guwahati towards Jorhat were killed in a tragic road mishap early this morning on NH 37 road near Kanchanjuri in Kaliabor subdivision. Significantly, one occupant luckily got a lifeline in the tragic incident after grievously injured. He was immediately admitted to Jakhalabandha hospital in a critical condition, sources added. Sources claimed that the incident took place when the speeding car bearing registration number AS 03 AE 8003 lost control and jumped into a roadside ditch (wetland) near Kanchanjuri under Bagori police patrolling outpost in the subdivision. According to sources, the deceased occupants have been identified as Luhit Das (18), Ankur Jyoti (30), Rishab Das of Jorhat and Rahul Senapati of Majuli while the injured one has been identified as Chachin Bordoloi of Jorhat. Sources said that they were all students and were coming to Jorhat when they all met the disaster in the mid-way.
